PULSE is an Italian private Non-Profit Association founded in 2004 to promote and favour activities in different fields such as research, communication, education and training as well as international cooperation. PULSE is a “laboratory” to connect people, ideas and projects which gives a deep importance to the meeting of different experiences and contexts.

The project meant to strengthen the social services created from 1998 to the present day in a more sustainable perspective of welfare mix. The support to the number of projects in favour of women, minors and adolescents was necessary to a path that aims at the evolution of models of Area Plans in Albania, the growth of society and institutions from the perspective of welfare mix.

One of the overall objectives of the project was the support to the partners from Balkan countries, for the strengthening of the expertise of public and private Social Service operators in the fields of the programming and definition of standards, identification and mapping of specific needs, through the creation, at local level, of the Area Social Plan.

The project addressed secondary modern school students and their teachers with the following main objectives: informing, training and making them more sensitive to the themes related to active European citizenship, civics, the right to an active and participatory environment, solidarity, peaceful coexistence among different ethnic and/or religious groups as well as the creation and consolidation of the values of the European Union.

The object of the action was the production of audiovisual educational materials to show the complex and solid cultural and traditional structures of Ghanaian immigrants, who, since the 1980s, have chosen for several reasons to leave their country and settle in Italy.

The objective of the action was to contribute to the implementation of the social service strategy in Albania, by establishing individual plans for residential services prior to the transfer of responsibility form central to local government and supporting the first stage of implementation.
